How to Activate Your
GiftCardMall MyGift Card

As of 2025, GiftCardMall has officially merged with Giftcards.com. All activation, balance checks, and account management now happen at giftcards.com. Your existing cards are fully supported — nothing expires or changes for you.

Step-by-step activation guide

  1. Gather your card information

    Before you start, have your card ready. You'll need: the 16-digit card number on the front, the expiration date (MM/YY), and the CVV security code (3 digits on the back).

    Tip: If your card arrived in a packaging envelope, keep the envelope — it sometimes has important details or a PIN you might need later.

  2. Go to the official activation website

    Open your browser and navigate to giftcards.com — this is the official site that replaced GiftCardMall. Do NOT use third-party sites. The back of your card may still say "mygift.giftcardmall.com" — that URL now redirects to giftcards.com.

    Security tip: Always double-check you're on the correct URL before entering card details. Look for the padlock (🔒) in your browser address bar.

  3. Find the activation or balance section

    On Giftcards.com, look for the "Manage Card" or "Activate" option. You may be prompted to create a free account or continue as a guest — either works for activation.

  4. Enter your card details

    Type in your 16-digit card number, the expiration date, and the CVV code. Double-check each field before submitting — a typo is the most common reason activation fails.

    Online purchases: If you plan to use the card online, you'll also need to register a billing ZIP code. Use the ZIP code of your home address or the address associated with your account.

  5. Register your card (strongly recommended)

    Creating a free account and registering your card protects you if the card is ever lost or stolen. Without registration, a lost card cannot be replaced. Registration takes about 60 seconds.

⚠️ Watch out for fake sites

Search results sometimes surface fake "activation" sites that steal card details. Always type giftcards.com directly into your browser — never click an ad to activate your card. The legitimate site always has HTTPS (🔒) in the address bar.
